The Country Square Farmhouse, Barns and Outbuildings date to the turn of the century and were built by the Innkeepers Great Grandfather, who traveled for months at a time constructing homes and barns for families. The Home features original yellow pine floors, doors, woodwork and a claw foot tub. The name comes from the farm in an earlier life. Being home to chickens and eggs being sold from the old brick Smoke House turned cooler.
For many years, travelers would see an egg basket on Highway 77, take the turn and purchase their eggs - "on the honor system".
